18" Charles Sackman

So often in the past these bears were mistakenly identified as being manufactured by Ideal but we found evidence years ago that they were actually made by Charles Sackman of New York, thanks to extensive research by Fiona. Please see the bear at the bottom of "Other Bears" for more details showing the full patent number in the ear tag.
This fabulous chap is dressed as he came in his vintage shirt and he oozes character with his gorgeous expression. Dating c1907, he is quite saggy and baggy in places but soooooo cuddly! The pads were recovered long ago and he is softly filled with wood wool and kapok. Ted is in strong condition, five way jointed and measures 18" tall
