This delightful antique Victorian cat and mouse pen wipe is truly exquisite and rare. We seldom find them these days and the detail is beautiful. Cat holds a mouse in her mouth and has teeny green bead eyes. There are some marks on the felt commensurate with age and the photos show this clearly. Underneath there is an additional piece of black felt that is hanging loose and I think this is a later addition. The rest of the felt is 100% original to the piece. The cat herself is made of velveteen and in good condition. Dating to around 1900 or a little before, the total length including the felt is 3.5" and pussy cat herself measures just over 2" long.
